Installation takes just a few steps

Estimated time: 10 minutes

1

Locate the vehicle's OBD2 Port

Most of the time the OBD2 port can be found in the foot well of the vehicle on the driver's side. It's typically located under the dashboard, above the pedals, and is a standardized 16-pin connector.

In some vehicles, it may be hidden behind a small access panel or located in the center console. If you have trouble finding it, consult your vehicle's manual.

2

Connect the OBD Power Connector

Plug the OBD Power Connector into the OBD2 Port. The connector is designed to fit only one way, so it should slot in easily without forcing. Make sure it's firmly seated in the port.

Then connect the other end of the cable to your EasiTrack GPS tracking device. This provides both power and a secure connection to your vehicle's systems.

3

Secure the GPS tracking device

Finally, locate a covert spot for the GPS tracking device. Under or within the dash is usually a great spot. Affix the device with zip ties and/or adhesive tape. Ensure that the unit is secure and cannot move freely.

The device should be positioned where it won't interfere with driving controls and where it can maintain a good satellite signal. Avoid placing it directly under metal surfaces when possible.
