Installation is pretty similar to installing a stereo to your vehicle. The GPS Tracker can be hidden, usually inside the dashboard of the vehicle. It has to be hard-wired to the electrical system of the vehicle. The typical installation takes 3 cables: Power cable, Ground cable, and a third cable that is connected to a line that has power while the Ignition is ON and that has no power while the Ignition is OFF.
For most customers we recommend getting the GPS Tracker installed. We recommend installations at a Best Buy store, a Car stereo/alarms shop, or almost any mechanic should be able to do it. About the GPS Tracker
Our GPS Tracker goes hardwired to the vehicle, so its main power source is the vehicle's battery. However, all our trackers also have an internal backup battery that will last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours of minute by minute tracking, in case the main power is lost or disconnected. When the device loses main power, an alert is triggered and sent to you.

Yes, our system provides Real Time Tracking. Now, in the GPS Industry, Real Time does not mean Instant tracking. It means a location update every certain of minutes. In our case, we offer minute by minute tracking, which means every single minute you will receive an update of the location of your vehicles, while they are moving. When the vehicles have the Ignition OFF, our trackers go to a slower interval to save the vehicle's battery, and only report every 60 minutes.

A Geofence is a virtual boundary that you can create around a given location. With easiTrack you can create as many geofences as you need. Most typical geofences are created around places of Customers, Vendors, Job Sites, Yards, etc. What is interesting about Geofences is that the system will trigger and send you alerts every time a vehicle enters or leaves a geofence, providing an electronic, automatic log of places your vehicles have visited.
