The Simplest GPS Tracker You'll Ever Install
The TLD2 eliminates installation complexity. No wiring, no drilling, no professional installer needed. Just plug it in and you're tracking in 30 seconds.
Perfect Applications for the TLD2
Usage-Based Insurance
Insurance companies use the TLD2 to monitor policyholder driving behavior and offer personalized rates based on actual driving patterns rather than demographics. Safe drivers save 10-30% on premiums.
Car Leasing Companies
Track leased vehicle locations, monitor mileage through OBD2 connection, ensure compliance with lease terms, and quickly locate vehicles at lease end. Easy deployment to lessees.
Private Vehicle Owners
Personal vehicle security, teen driver monitoring, elderly driver safety, theft prevention and recovery. Simple installation means anyone can set it up in seconds.
Small Fleet Tracking
Perfect for small businesses with company vehicles. Monitor location, driver behavior, mileage, and vehicle health. Quick deployment across your entire fleet.
Installation Is Literally Plug and Play
The TLD2 connects to your vehicle's OBD2 diagnostic port, which is standard on all vehicles manufactured after 1996 (gasoline) or 2008 (diesel) in the United States. The OBD2 port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side near the steering column. Simply locate the port, plug in the tracker, and it automatically powers on and begins operation. No wiring to connect, no tools needed, no professional installation required. The entire process takes about 30 seconds.
Comprehensive Driver Behavior Monitoring
The built-in 3-axis accelerometer continuously monitors vehicle movement patterns to identify aggressive or unsafe driving behaviors. The system detects harsh braking (sudden deceleration that could indicate panic stops), rapid acceleration (aggressive throttle application), harsh cornering (taking turns too aggressively), and excessive speeding. When harsh events are detected, the built-in buzzer provides immediate audible feedback to encourage safer driving. All events are logged with GPS location, timestamp, and severity data for reporting and driver coaching.
Advanced Crash Detection Technology
When the accelerometer detects sudden, extreme G-forces indicating a collision, the crash detection system activates. It immediately captures detailed accident data including exact GPS location, precise timestamp, vehicle speed before impact, direction of travel, and G-force magnitude in all three axes. This data is transmitted to your EasiTrack account and instant alerts are sent via SMS and email. The accident data can be used for insurance claim documentation, emergency response coordination, and accident reconstruction analysis.
CAN Data Reading for Vehicle Diagnostics (TLD2-D)
The TLD2-D version includes CAN bus data reading capability, allowing access to your vehicle's internal computer systems. Supporting ISO15765-4 and SAE J1939 protocols, the tracker can read engine RPM, fuel consumption rates, coolant temperature, engine load percentage, throttle position, actual odometer readings, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), and more. This data is valuable for fleet managers monitoring vehicle health, insurance companies assessing risk based on vehicle condition, and car leasing companies verifying mileage and maintenance compliance.
Backup Battery and Tamper Protection
The 200mAh Li-Polymer backup battery automatically activates if the tracker is unplugged or the vehicle battery is disconnected. The system immediately sends an External Power Disconnect alert via SMS and email to notify you of potential tampering or theft. The backup battery continues powering the device for several hours (duration depends on reporting frequency), allowing continued GPS tracking while you locate and recover your vehicle. A Towing Alarm feature uses the accelerometer to detect if the vehicle is being moved while the ignition is off, triggering immediate alerts even if unplugged.
BLE 5.0 for External Sensor Connectivity
Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 connectivity allows the TLD2 to communicate with external BLE sensors for expanded monitoring capabilities. Connect tire pressure monitoring sensors to track tire health and prevent blowouts, temperature sensors for monitoring cargo or cabin temperature, door sensors for security monitoring, and other BLE-enabled devices. Sensor data is logged along with GPS location and transmitted to your EasiTrack account for comprehensive vehicle and cargo monitoring.
LTE Cat-M1 and Cat-NB2 Connectivity
The TLD2 operates on modern LTE Cat-M1 (eMTC) and Cat-NB2 (NB-IoT) networks purpose-built for IoT applications. These networks provide excellent coverage including in buildings and rural areas, efficient power consumption for extended battery life, and lower operating costs compared to traditional cellular. The device supports multiple LTE bands and includes 2G GSM/EDGE fallback (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) for maximum coverage reliability. Certified for AT&T and US Cellular, with T-Mobile and Verizon certifications in progress.
MediaTek High-Gain GNSS Receiver
The high-sensitivity GNSS receiver tracks GPS satellites plus either GLONASS or Beidou constellations for superior positioning accuracy and reliability. With 33 tracking channels and 99 acquisition channels, the receiver achieves position accuracy of less than 2.5 meters CEP under normal conditions. Fast time-to-first-fix: cold start in 15 seconds, warm start in 8 seconds, hot start in 1 second. The high-gain design maintains accurate positioning even in challenging environments like urban areas with tall buildings.
Over-the-Air Firmware Updates
Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) capability allows EasiTrack to remotely update device software without requiring physical access to the tracker. This ensures your device always has the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. Updates are deployed automatically to all trackers, keeping your entire fleet current with minimal effort.
Compatible with 12V and 24V Vehicles
The wide operating voltage range of 7V to 32V DC makes the TLD2 compatible with both standard 12V passenger vehicles and 24V commercial trucks. This flexibility allows the same tracker model to be used across mixed fleets, simplifying inventory management and deployment. The device works equally well in gasoline, diesel, and hybrid vehicles with OBD2 ports.
